VERITAS HIRES MARTIN HOFMANN TO DRIVE STRATEGY
FOR SOCIAL AND DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS
Toronto, October 11, 2011 – Veritas Communications Inc. is pleased to announce a substantial boost to its online communications capabilities with the hiring of Martin Hofmann as its new Senior Vice-President of Social and Digital Communications.

Hofmann comes to Veritas with more than 15 years of international communications experience counseling start-up companies, large corporations and public sector organizations. After starting his career working for a Member of the German Federal Parliament, he spearheaded digital integration and online communications at public relations and marketing consultancies in Europe and North America.
Most recently, Hofmann led a team of 60 people at the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, where he reorganized the communications branch and added new social capabilities for internal collaboration and external communications.
Hofmann understood the impact of technology on the evolution of communications, storytelling and influencer marketing early on. He has helped organizations build brands and grow business online since the late Nineties. Hofmann’s mandate will be to explore and realize the value of emerging digital trends and social technology for Veritas’ clients and the agency.
