As Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for understanding customers online, their digital needs and goals and measuring their success. You will participate in the development of the strategy and oversee the tactical implementation of the program and serve as the day to day contact for clients. In addition, you will assume responsibility for new business activities within the business centre and serve as an example and leader to teammates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interprets PR briefs and develops campaigns/PR plans that are on strategy and can translate the strategic direction to account team
- Develops pitch ideas and successfully pitches media and social media tactics to client
- Maintains and monitors workflow assignments on all projects
- Develops budget models, understands and creates invoices
- Accurately tracks time and submits time sheets regularly as required
- Advanced understanding of time tracking, invoicing system, account budgets and ensuring projects are completed within assigned timelines
- Interacts with clients on a daily basis and participates in discussions around digital campaign strategy and plans
- Provides leadership, training and direction to Consultants and proactively assists the team in delivery of project elements
- Proactively identifies problems/opportunities early and advises team appropriately
- Understands all types of PR tactics (incl. social and online) and their specific value to programs
- Drafts and edits press releases, backgrounders, pitch and new business documents etc.
- Assists in identifying potential organic growth opportunities and new business targets that are consistent with the strategic direction of the agency
- Solid understanding of agency offerings in order to best serve existing clients (upsell and cross sell opportunities)
- Participates in new business pitches and liaise with new business prospects, as required
- Collaborates with team on providing creative solutions for clients and overall agency
- Analyzes media coverage for clients.
Qualifications and Experience:
- University degree; Post Graduate PR diploma is an asset
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience
- Advanced understanding of all measurement tools including MR2P
- Advanced communication skills with emphasis on highly developed writing and editing abilities
- Significant knowledge of the current media landscape and players
- Demonstrated understanding of social media tools and community
- Ability to undertake activities with minimal to no direction (works autonomously)
- Ability to manage a variety of projects at the same time (multi-tasking)
- Solid understanding of the industry and competitive environment
- Problem solving and decision making capabilities
- Advanced research and media analysis skills

As Director of First Impression, you will ensure a positive promotion of the agency and provide overall seamless execution of daily administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Administration
- Provides administrative support including: activity calendar updates, purchase & distribute staff birthdays & anniversary cards, staff phone lists and new employee welcome packages
- Handles staff subscriptions: distribution, monitoring and renewal
- Maintain VC Master Database
- Coordinates couriers and distributes all incoming/outgoing mail
- Manages phone system – answer & direct all calls, keeps staff directory updated and messaging updates for office holiday closures
- Monitors staff whereabouts and sends daily headlines
Business Development & Client Support
- Supports account teams on client administration items if necessary (i.e. courier packages, phone pitching pro-bono clients, event, client invitations)
- Package presentations or proposal for delivery to client
- Prepares bright spot gifts/takeaway packages/teasers/leave-behinds
Corporate Brand & Support & Facilities
- Administers internal & external Brightspot program (under guidance of Executive Assistant to the ELT), weekly Soundbite and Shout it Out emails to team
- Maintains adequate levels of Brightspot inventories (mugs, books, corporate purchases, etc).
- Coordinates Soundbite program by sending weekly emails to team and preparing agenda (maintain TD&F schedule, Inspirational quote schedule & database, Practice host, Shout it Out database)
- Manages front desk & keeps surrounding area tidy and ensures comfort of guests /visitors when they arrive in the office
- Supports agency corporate social responsibility activities including Special Olympics Canada and various other committees
- Supports employee onboarding and departure procedures under direction of the HR department
- Coordinates Boardrooms & Bookings – for all internal/external meetings and ensures boardrooms are cleaned in preparation for next meeting
- Assist in organizing kitchen and replenishment of stock on a daily basis, in addition to cleaning on a weekly basis.
- Ensures organization and tidiness of media lounge on a daily basis
- Maintains parking log and distributes passes for clients
- Maintains adequate inventory counts for production rooms, replenishes and keeps rooms tidy and organized at all times
- Maintain logs for IT and shared agency equipment, coordinates repairs with Manager, Systems & Operations
- Coordinates travel arrangement support for the agency, back up support on all executive travel
- Back-ups executive support as needed
- Coordinates office supply orders for approval by the CFO or Manager, Systems & Operations
- Assist in doing a weekly inventory of office/printer/kitchen supplies
- Perform related duties as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant business administration and communications experience is an asset
- Familiarity with the nature of agency business
